As Lisa Boyer, author, once said, "Each person has her (or his) own precious quilting personality which permeates every aspect of her (or his) art, from organization to execution to exhibition.  And because each of us is unique, each quilt is beautifully and wondrously different.  It's as if our souls were laid open and squashed down into every colour and fibre of the thing.  A quilt is a song, a dance, a soft soothing poem, or a tumultuous scream of panic."

Lisa Boyer has an amazing way with words.  As quilters we do put our all into our creations.  We choose the patterns, then change them if we wish.  The choice of fabric comes next and of course we all have our favourites there too.  Then there is the actually working of the quilt, hand applique, foundation pieced, traditional patchwork, whatever method is used contains the creators personal touch.

The creation of a website is as personal as any quilt that is created. I am building this site as a challenge to myself. After several years of being unsure as to where life was taking me I am now the one who is taking life for a stroll. On my website I’m going to talk a little about myself and my hobby and how we hooked up and became the best of friends.

"Tess's Mystery Basket" (shown in the above picture) is the very first quilt that I created in my early days as a quilter and being a beginner I was practicing, oh dear, with poly/cottons.  No fudging here...that's for sure.

I'll be including some definitions directly related to the craft of quilting and most important...a list of much needed items to assist in getting your creation started.  Of course, I'll also include lots of pictures of the results of my sanity sewing time...my wadding away the hours...my pin pushing....my needle threading... well, you know what I mean.  The hard work, the time taken, the patience learned, the task completed have all been finalized in my own personal piece of art work.
